Safeguarding

The Swedish Cheerleading Federation (SCF) is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all athletes participating in the Nordic Championship. Both the SCF and member federations hold the responsibility to promote the welfare and protection of athletes, practicing safeguarding measures to protect them from any harm. The SCF is dedicated to maintaining and continuously improving these practices to ensure a safe and secure competitive environment.

A Safeguarding Officer will be present during the whole competition.
We expect all attendees to report any suspicions or instances of harassment, abuse, or exploitation.


Coaches, Support Staff and Other Entourage

Adherence to these requirements is mandatory:

  • Present a criminal background check upon arrival
  • Present a certificate from the IOC online course: Safeguarding Athletes from Harassment and Abuse upon arrival
  • Read and adhere to the SCF Coaches’ Code of Conduct. By attending the competition, you agree to follow our guidelines.

If there are any incidents/and or reports concerning an individual, we reserve the right to deny that person attendance at the competition.


Participating Clubs

All participating clubs are strongly encouraged to:

  • Create or review their own national safeguarding policy and protocols, including but not limited to risk analyses for competition and travel, especially with minors
  • Appoint a Safeguarding Officer for the club who will be present at the event.
