Under fredagskvällen delade European Cheer Union (ECU) ut sina årliga utmärkelser, där Sverige var representerat i topp tre i två prestigefyllda kategorier:
- ECU Junior Athlete of the Year – Isabelle Bou Naaman, GCO Bobcats och Team Sweden Junior All Girl 2024/2025
- ECU Senior Athlete of the Year – Julia Grengman, GCO Wildcats och Team Sweden All Girl 2024/2025
Vi är stolta över att berätta att Isabelle Bou Naaman tilldelades utmärkelsen ”ECU Junior Athlete of the Year” 2025! Det är andra året i rad som en svensk aktiv vinner en av ECU:s individuella utmärkelser – ett fantastiskt kvitto på det hårda arbete som görs inom svensk cheerleading.
Norge tog hem priset i seniorklassen genom utmärkelsen ”ECU Senior Athlete of the Year”.

Dear ECU Coaches & Athletes Committee, It is with great pleasure that we nominate Isabelle Bou Naaman for consideration for the 2025 Athlete of The Year award.
Isabelle is a member of Gothenburg Cheer One. Born in 2007, she has been part of the club’s junior elite team since 2022, where she is a base. She is also in her second year as a member of the junior national team, proudly representing her country at the highest level for her age group.
Isabelle is an invaluable part of her team and a true role model in cheerleading. Her joy and positive attitude shine through in every practice and competition, and she has a unique ability to lift her teammates both mentally and physically. By constantly encouraging and supporting others, she inspires her teammates to grow and push their limits.
Beyond being a skilled athlete, she is also a source of security within the team, someone everyone can turn to for support and motivation. Her kindness and compassion create a strong sense of community where everyone feels seen and included.
As a member of the junior national team, she proudly represents not only her club but also her country with dedication and passion. Her drive, humility, and love for the sport make her the perfect candidate for the Athlete of the Year award.

We are proud to nominate Julia Grengman for ECU Athlete of the Year. As a member of GCO wildcats and Team Sweden All Girl for 10 years, Julia shows incredible skill, dedication, and team spirit. She is not only a strong and talented athlete but also a great leader and role model.
Julia always works hard to improve and give her best. Her strength, technique, and focus make her an important part of the team. She is always ready to support her teammates and help the team succeed. No matter the challenge, Julia stays positive and motivated.
More than just a great athlete, Julia represents the true values of cheerleading— teamwork, determination, and kindness. She inspires others with her energy and passion for the sport. She also helps the cheerleading community grow by sharing her knowledge and experience.
Julia has made a big impact both on Wildcats and Team Sweden All Girl, Her hard work and positive attitude make her a perfect choice for ECU Athlete of the Year. We fully support her nomination and believe she would be a fantastic representative of the sport.
